Aleksandr Rodchenko - Experiments for the Future

First published in Russian in 1996, Aleksandr Rodchenko: Experiments for the Future, Diaries, Essays, Letters, and Other Writings presents a great variety of texts spanning Rodchenko's adult life, including much previously unpublished material. It was edited by Alexander N. Lavrentiev, the artist's grandson, who stresses in his preface that the book illuminates not only Rodchenko's work and artistic environment but also his life. Lavrentiev's notes and his introductions to each chapter form a valuable guide to the professional and personal circumstances that helped to shape Rodchenko's texts.
