General Patton is languishing on the island of Sicily having had his Third Army taken away from him on Washington's orders. Now, as he broods at his palazzo, half-mad with grief and anger, he starts to receive death threats. He thinks they come from the Brits, who hate him because he beat Monty in the camaign. Mackenzie is called in to investigate the strange connection between the freshly imported US Mafia and the US Army. When Mackenzie's own life comes under threat, he realizes he knows too much.
