Perspectives on the Lexicon jellemzők

Even though lexicon design is often treated as a secondary task in developing a new linguistic model or application, it is one of the most complex problems in Linguistics. In this book, we examine the lexicon as a projection of a wide spectrum of semantic, morpho-syntactic and other phenomena, and keep an eye on the implementational consequences. We survey relevant pitfalls and results - from Chomskyan Generative Grammar to Cruse's Lexical Semantics-, explore WordNet and FrameNet, and - using Artifical Neural Network experiments - we also probe the viability of connectionist methods in representing linguistic information.
