The Provence depicted in this collection of photographs is not just one of picturesque scenes and village life but of composed landscapes, details and portraits that resemble paintings. For nearly three decades, Sonja Bullaty and Angelo Lomeo have applied themselves to portraying the region's colour, light, textures and forms. Complementing the photographs is a commentary by Marie-Ange Guillaume, a French author, who introduces the region by exploring why painters, writers and other creative individuals have been attracted to Provence.
